Product Description
Type fountain pen
Product Name "L" pen. There is conflicting information about what the "L" stands for but based off of the font we believe it to be related to the Elite line.
Manufacturer and Year Pilot, made in Japan -- 1981 (The date code on the nib says H981)
Length 5-1/8".
Filling System Takes Pilot cartridges and some Pilot converters. (CON-70 converters do not fit.) An unused cartridge will be shipped with the pen.
Color Green on green. Green lacquer with lighter green dots on the cap and barrel. The dots make up a series of diamond patterns. The section is plastic. The trim is gold plated.
Nib FINE 14k nib is marked F. It's smooth with nice tipping material and feels fairly firm.
Condition Very Nice condition. There are a few chips in the lacquer. The largest chip is near the clip. The cap lip has additional lacquer wear. The clip has some wear and the nib collar is partially corroded. The end of the barrel and the top of the cap are also worn on the edges as shown in the photographs. The pen works well.
