Product Name Long Murex
Manufacturer and Year Pilot, made in Japan -- the date code H280 indicates it was made in 1980.
Length The fountain pen is 5-1/4" long. Ballpoint pen is 5-3/16", and mechanical pencil is 5-5/16" long.
Filling System The fountain pen takes Pilot cartridges. We tried a few of the modern converters and they were too long, but we did find a simple Pilot squeeze converter that seems to fit and we will include it. The ballpoint has the original Pilot ballpoint refill in it, which is different from current models. The pencil takes 0.5mm leads.
Color Stainless steel, brushed finish. There is a black enamel stripe on the clips of each piece.
Nib The fountain pen has a FINE integrated stainless steel nib. There's some discoloration on the nib slit, which can be seen in nib photos below, but this is not ink, it's some remnant of the manufacturing process and does not affect the pen's writing.
Condition NOS, in original box. All original price stickers are attached. The set is contained in a plastic clamshell box, with a few handouts written in Japanese, and the original outer cardboard sleeve is also intact. The outer sleeve has some wear around the edges, but is largely in good shape.
