Filling System Fitted with a Pilot button converter (CON-70). With nib submerged in ink, press the button on the end of the converter and let go. Wait 3 to 4 seconds and repeat about 4 times. The ink capacity is greater than a normal twist converter. It also takes Pilot cartridges.
Color Black pen with painted crane images, highlighted in gold. The trim is gold colored. Signed by the maki-e artist.
Nib MEDIUM #10 14k nib is marked M. Japanese mediums are generally finer than most western modern mediums. The nib is in perfect condition.
Condition Near mint condition, in box with paperwork. There is no wear at the edges of the painted shapes and no evidence of worn off gold flecks or wisps on the pen. Comes in Pilot box, with paperwork and bottle of ink.
The Pilot-Namiki Yukari line depicts aspects of the four seasons, with a variety of natural symbols. Among other concepts, the crane represents longevity. The Yukari models have featured different motifs over the years, and the double crane is not currently available.
