Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name "Pure Gold Higo Zo-gan Ichyo." Marked 3776 on the nib, though this is not a 3776 Century even though it is fairly recent production. (We note it has a different feed from the 3776 Century and it lacks the "slip and seal" cap mechanism.)
Manufacturer and Year Platinum, Japan -- circa 2016 (it was given as a gift to the participants of the 2016 G7 summit).
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Platinum cartridge or converter fill. A converter is installed.
Color Brushed black with gold plated trim. 5/16" cap band with a floral and hearts pattern in 14k gold -- that's where they get the "Solid Gold" in the model name.
Nib FINE 14k #3776 nib.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a large-sized pen that has design touches that make it special. The cap and barrel are "brushed". The brush lines are visible and there is some light scratching that is difficult to see. The cap band is excellent and especially beautiful. The clip has a little plating wear along the top and lower edges. There are no imprints.
