Color Platinum design of two cranes on black. The gold painting or "maki-e" is over urushi lacquer. The trim is gold plated.
Nib MEDIUM 14k #3776 nib. The Platinum medium nibs write like Western fine nibs.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a beautiful shiny black pen with two cranes and some clouds painted in gold. The barrel has light wear, with some heavier marks towards the end of the barrel, near the artist's signature. The signature is somewhat rubbed off, but you can still make it out. There are some more moderate scratches on the section, but no cracks or chips. The cap has light scratching. The cap band and clip have some microscratching. The imprints are clear.
