Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Haiku, or possibly Bel Age Flighter.
Manufacturer and Year Platinum, made in Japan -- probably made in the 1980s based on the clip style. The outer box for this pen calls it a Haiku, but we've also seen a "Bel Age Flighter" model that looks almost identical to this pen. We have seen brands recycle model names over the years, or change the model name for different markets, and perhaps that is what happened here.
Length 5-7/16".
Filling System Takes Platinum cartridges or converters. A converter is installed.
Color Brushed Chrome finish with black section and barrel end piece.
Nib MEDIUM Platinum 14k white gold nib.
Condition Near Mint condition, in box with paperwork. As far as we can tell, this pen has never been inked. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. There are some faint cross-scratches on the brushed surfaces. The black plastic parts have scratches from capping and posting, but again, we don't believe the pen was ever inked. The imprint is clear. The pen ships in a Platinum box with an instruction sheet and a spare cartridge.
