Color Based off of referencing other maki-e works we think that this design features "plum blossoms". The pen has gold plated trim and the artist's signature.
Nib FINE 18k nib. Marked in Kanji on the nib, so we might have it wrong.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a slim, shiny pen with a lovely plum blossom design on the cap and barrel in a red color with spindly gold leaves. The cap and barrel have some light microscratching. All the gold trim pieces (end of barrel, cap band, and trim around the black center of the clip) have light microscratching. The top clip ring has plating wear along the ridges of the band. The imprints are clear.
