Platinum PB-5000 fountain pen from Japan, from the 1970s. Cartridge/converter filler in black with gold trim. Medium 18k gold nib is smooth. Very nice condition.

Length Just over 5-5/8"

Filling System  Takes Platinum cartridges and converters. It will ship with a Platinum cartridge. Platinum also makes an adapter that allows people to use international cartridges with full sized pens.

Color  Black with gold plated trim. There is an additional pattern printed on the clip.

Nib  MEDIUM Platinum 18k gold nib. It writes between a fine and an extra fine but is marked medium on the nib. The nib and feed look very clean and shiny.

Condition  Very nice condition. No dents or dings or major scratches. The pen has low handwear and a clear barrel imprint. The trim has lots of wear and there is lacquer wear on the edges on both ends. The clip only has some pitting on the sides.

Domestic US Shipping Policy: For the most part, shipping to US addresses is free and is made via first class mail.

International Shipping PolicyInternational shipping is based on weight, and we give you a choice (depending on country) of first class, first class registered, priority mail or express delivery (only Express Mail provides true tracking). Internatonal shipments valued at over $40 come with free insurance, unless that service is not available for your specific country. Most of our customers opt for the very reasonably priced first class mail method, which can take anywhere from one to four weeks. We are happy to discuss alternatives to the options currently offered during the checkout process, so please contact us if you'd like a quote.

Most countries charge customs fees on shipments from the United States, but this is not something we can estimate and there is no way to pay these fees in advance. It is the responsibility of the customer to anticipate these costs and pay them when they are assessed by your country or postal system.
