Product Description
Type Integral converter filling modern fountain pen, working well.
Product Name Porsche Design P3135 Solid Titanium Fountain Pen. MSRP over $1,000.
Manufacturer and Year Porsche Design and Pelikan, made in Germany -- Current model.
Length 5- 13/16 inches. The outer storage tube is 6-1/4" long.
Filling System Cartridge/converter. Really interesting way of accessing the innards: apply gentle pressure to the end of the pen's barrel and a button pops up. Unscrew this button to release the inner cartridge tray from the barrel. The tray has cutouts and you can twist the piston knon, though it's a bit tricky. Easier to unscrew the button at the end of the tray and remove the converter, and fill the converter directly from a bottle. You can also insert a standard long international cartridge in the tray and use that to supply ink. A Pelikan converter is installed.
Color Solid brushed titanium with PVD coating that is wear-resistant. The pen is capless and comes with a travel/storage tube that has a shiny aluminum outer sleeve.
Nib Medium 18k rhodium plated nib.
Condition Mint with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. Never inked. This is a large, heavy, impressive pen, made from a single solid piece of titanium. It comes in a sleek, shiny aluminum sleeved travel case. There are a few small marks on both pen and case, but overall they look quite impressive. Imprints are clear. No box or paperwork.
