Product Description
Type Ebonite pen with unique filling system and new old stock Japanese nibs
Product Name Felton
Manufacturer and Year Our partners in India made the ebonite components. The nibs are vintage Japanese. The feeds come from new old stock Eversharp pens. We put everything together here in California.
Length Small sized pen. 5-1/16" capped. Posted the pen is 5-11/16". The thickness at the threads is .392 inches (9.95mm).
Filling System We call this filling system the "ink tank." You fill the clear acrylic tube with ink via an eye dropper (included), and screw it on to the section.
While the filing system is more or less a simple eyedropper, the insulating properies of having acrylic, air and ebonite between your hand and the ink chamber reduces the burping usually associated with eyedroppers.
We include a spare ink tube with a screw-on cap. In addition to the eyedropper, we'll give you a small quantity of silicone grease which should be applied to the tank threads every other time you fill it.
The tanks will hold almost .9ml of ink, which is just a little more than a standard international cartridge.
Color Two colors ... see pull down menu. Basically red and black, and green and black.
Nib This listing is for Felton Tank pens fitted with new old stock Japanese nibs. We don't know how old these two-tone semi-flex nibs are, we are guessing they come from the 1950s-60s. They produce a smooth extra fine line when not flex, and with flexing you get some line variation. Please see writing sample below.
