Color Nikko red ripple ebonite. The way the ebonite rods were made, the wider diameter used for the cap only shows the ripple patterning only at the top where it is tapered, while the barrel shows the rippling throughout the length. There's a sterling parasol rollstop. It's developed a dark reddish patina due to its proximity to the ebonite, which we rather like, but the roll stop can be polished so that it appears more silver.
