Product Description
Type Vintage eye dropper fountain pen, working well.
Product Name Unknown. It has a Waterman's Ideal nib.
Manufacturer and Year Unknown maker, the pen is not marked, though we think it may be by The Regal Company because it's very similar in style to their other pens -- made in the 1910s or '20s.
Length a little under 5-1/2 inches.
Filling System Eye dropper filler. We've cleaned and tested it. We'll include a handout on using this type of filling system.
Color Black hard rubber with a gold plated cut-out overlay. The metal is not marked.
Nib FINE SEMI-FLEXIBLE Waterman's Ideal 14k gold nib is smooth with lovely tipping material. It flexes easily from fine to a small broad with light pressure, and a bit more with more pressure. This is not the original nib for this pen, and this pen is not a Waterman.
Condition Very nice condition. No cracks, chips, or personalization. There are some small, light dents in the overlay here and there, and some light scratching, especially on the end of the barrel and on the section. These were not high end pens, and you see the seam on the barrel and cap where the overlay was joined. There are spots of brassing here and there on the overlay. The pen is working very well.
