Product Description
Type Limited edition fountain pen, number 0877/1928 (marked on the cap ring)
Product Name 1928
Manufacturer and Year Rotring, is a Germany brand, but we believe the pen was made by Visconti. 1998.
Length 5-7/8"
Filling System Vacuum Filler. Unscrew the blind cap at the end of the barrel until it is free, then pull backwards to extend the plunger shaft. Submerge the nib in the ink, push the plunger back down, and tada! You've filled your pen.
We replaced the piston seal and tested the pen thorough for leaks. We guarantee the filling system for a year from the date of purchase. Please note that there is some surface damage to the piston rod, so it's a little sticky when you first pull the rod out due to the rough surface. Be careful not to bend the piston.
Nib BROAD Stub 18k gold two-toned nib. Smooth and lovely. See our writing sample below.
Color Orange Blue and black "candy stripe" patterned celluloid, with matching section. The material was madde by Visconti. Black finials, and the company's distinctive red ring around the end of the barrel. Gold plated trim.
Condition Excellent condition. Microscratching and light handwear, but no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The clip looks great, no brassing. This pen was made to commemorate Rotring's 70th anniversary. No box or paperwork.
NOTE: The plunger shaft is a little sticky and requires a bit more force to pull it back than you might think. We've greased it up like crazy, and it does work, it just takes a little more encouragement than you might expect.
