Manufacturer and Year S.T. Dupont, France -- 1980s, there is a current version of the Classique (the Neo-Classique) but it's not much like this one. There is a serial number on the side of the clip: 59DDK93
Length 5-1/2" and slim
Filling System Takes older S.T. Dupont cartridges and converters or Parker style cartridges and converters. An S.T. DuPont converter is installed.
Color Blue lacquer with gold plated trim and black section. Chinese lacquer with the crest of the Marquis de Lafayette on the cap.
Nib MEDIUM 18k nib. It's labeled M just above the section threads.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a royal blue, shiny pen, that has a regal appearance in its slim simplicity. The barrel has some light scratching. The gold end piece of the barrel has some small scratches. The cap has some microscratching and one light mark just up from the cap band which does not penetrate the laquer. The cap band, especially the top one (at the base of the cap) has quite a few light scratches. The clip and clip band have microscratching. The imprints are clear as is the gold crest.
