Color Matte Black resin with gold trim. The clip and bands are interesting, because it seems a bit less "bright" than we usually expect with gold trim, which coordinates nicely with the matte finish on the pen. The section is glossy black for a fun contrast.
Nib Cursive Italic 21k nib. This originally started out as a Music nib. (Sailor's music nibs are two tines as opposed to the three used by other manufacturers, and write like a double broad.) At some point, it acquired a cursive italic grind, and will put down a lovely double-broad downstroke, and extra-fine cross strokes. Very smooth. Please see our writing sample.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a fun matte black, large-sized pen that is elegant and that makes a statement. This type of surface shows scratches fairly easily, and we don't see any on this pen. The section has microscratching. The cap looks perfect. The cap band and clip are lovely. All imprints are clear. Ships in Sailor box with paperwork.
