Nib Naginata Medium-Fine (N-MF) 21k nib. We're not sure who exactly did the nib grind, whether it was done prior to the death of the senior Nagahara.
The Naginata Togi is a specialty nib developed at Sailor. It is similar to an architect grind, with a wider cross-stroke and narrow downstroke. The line width also varies depending on the angle at which you hold the pen - thinner when held perpendicular to the paper, and wider when held at a lower angle. It does take some practice to master, so it's not for everyone.
Condition Excellent + condition in box. We think there is some light scratching on the cap and barrel, though it's difficult to distinguish between scratches and natural grain and variations in the wood. There may also be some marks towards the end of the barrel. The section has light scratching. The gold trim looks great. Ships in wooden box with paperwork.
A couple of notes: in the first photo, you might notice that the very top of the cap seems to have something around the edge. This was excess glue, and we were able to carefully remove it without any scratching or damage. Also, the pen does come with a cap - sometimes desk pens do not, and require the use of a desk stand to keep the nib from drying out. This pen does NOT come with a desk stand.
