Nib 21k N-M This is a Medium Naginata-togi nib. From Sailor's description of these nibs: "the shape of a Naginata-togi nib is rather long compared with other pen nibs. The pen point is ground into a shape similar to the blade of a Naginata sword. This unique pen nib allows a broad range of writing angles and provides smooth calligraphy even when writing with light pressure."
Condition Near mint, in collector's box. Beautiful, almost like new. There are two slight flaws that we've found in the pen, and as far as we can tell they are mostly cosmetic. Some of the masking on the nib has been polished away, and that's easily visible in the pictures. The other issue is the tiniest flaw in the cap, above the R in Sailor on the cap band. It's about 1/16" long, and seems to just barely crack the surface, but not go all the way through the cap. We've included an enhanced shot of that area, with the flaw circled in red. The knurled edge there is about 1mm wide, to give you an idea of how small it is. There are some polishing marks on the end of the barrel.
Pen ships in original packaging - a large blue storage box with outer cardboard sleeve, warranty certificate, an informational booklet, a plaque engraved with the pen's number 26/100 (this number is also imprinted on the pen), a bottle of black ink, and a polishing cloth. Also, underneath the pen's tray, there is a traditional "Koushu Inden" deerskin leather pen pouch, with urushi lacquer embellishments. The blue cardboard "Realo" box has a split corner.
