Nib Fine Flexible #2 gold fine nib is marked "Sheaffer 2 Self-Filling". We got line variation from extra fine to broad with light pressure. Short crack coming down from the breather hole and a triangular nick midway down on the left side. Neither will affect the writing, but you shouldn't over flex the nib or the crack will worsen. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, dings, or dents. There is some slight fading, especially at the end of the barrel and top of the cap, but for the most part the color is quite dark. The surface of both cap and barrel have light marks and microscratching. The section has some marks like scrapes. The clip has microscratching, as well as some brassing around the top edge. The lever bar has scratching an some dots of pitting. The imprints are quite smoothed down, but somewhat readable.
