Color BCHR (black chased hard rubber) with a scalloped pattern and with gold filled trim. The cap has a wide 1/2" cap band.
Nib FINE #4 flexible nib is marked "Sheaffer 4 Self-Filling". It's large and has long tines, which spread easily for great line variation from fine to broad or double broad. We consider this full flex. See our writing sample in the photos.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The pen is pretty and shiny. The chasing pattern is strong and clear, and the color is dark and uniform on the cap and barrel. The barrel has horizontal capping lines and some light scratch marks, especially toward the end. The section has tool marks. The lever bar has plating wear at the open end and along the side. The cap looks great. The clip has scratching on the front, and some plating wear along the sides. The cap band has scratching on the surface, and plating wear along the edges. The ball end of the clip has a blotch of plating wear. The cap band is personalized with the initials "E V H". Imprints are clear.
