Product Name Balance 1000 "Valiant" , a Lifetime model with a white dot and a military clip. This pen has the 1000 barrel imprint, making it the largest pen with the military clip.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1940-2 (those were the years this pen was made with this kind of clip).

Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Golden brown striated with gold plated trim, a white dot on the cap below the clip, and a military style clip.
Nib FINE two-tone 14k Lifetime nib is smooth and firm with nice tipping material. Some of the masking has been polished away on the front of the nib, but this does not affect the writing performance of the pen.
Condition Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, dings, dents, or personalization. The barrel has light horizontal marks just above the threads from the cap. The cap band looks great, with almost no brassing. The clip has some brassing near the top, and plating wear along the sides. The clip is nice and tight, no looseness or wiggling. The lever has tiny dots of pitting on the half closest to the pivot point. Some of the masking on the nib has been polished away. The imprint is very clear and readable. The pen has been fully restored and it's working well.
