Product Name Model #872, from the Balance II series, the revival series of the 1930s Balance pens.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- this color came out in 1998.
Length 5-3/4 inches.
Filling System Takes Sheaffer style cartridges, or you can fill it with bottled ink via the included piston converter.
Color Navy Blue Resin acrylic with gold plated trim and a 1/8" cap bands.
Nib Stub 18k 750 nib. (Sheaffer's Feather Touch nibs were originally shipped with the marbled Balance II pens.) The desireable nib is smooth and slightly flexible with nice tipping material. Though the nib has been inked, it is in really nice condition with only a few dots of pitting on the collar (clearly shown in photo below).
Condition Barrel and cap are new old stock but the nib has been inked. This is a shiny, classic, full-sized pen with a very well regarded nib. Mint condition. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, personalization, plating wear, or even scratching.
