Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Balance, Lifetime, sometimes marked model 875 but this is not marked with the model number.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1937-42 (those were the years they made Balance pens in this color).
Length 5-3/8 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Marine Green Striated with gold plated trim, a 1/8 inch wide cap band, radius style clip, and a white dot.
Nib FINE Sheaffer's Lifetime gold nib; originally two-toned, nearly all of the masking has been polished away. It's smooth and firm with nice tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition. The cap and barrel have microscratches showing signs of general wear. The cap is smooth and even. The clip has plating wear on the sides, and brassing on the ball end. The cap band looks great. Lever bar has plating wear on the edges. The green and black striation is vivid and shiny. The imprint is clear. There is no personalization.
