Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Balance, Lifetime, model 875.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1937-42 (those were the years they made Balance pens in this color).
Length Just over 4-3/4 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Marine Green Striated with gold plated trim, a 1/8 inch wide cap band, radius style clip, and a white dot.
Nib FINE two-tone Sheaffer's Lifetime gold nib with a serial number. It's smooth and firm with nice tipping material. The masking is just a little worn around the edges, but this has no effect on its writing.
Condition Excellent conditon except for some spots of corrosion on the clip and a small crack in the cap lip. The crack stops short at the cap band, and we do not expect it to be a problem, though we do not recomment posting this cap. There are also a few small but deep scratches toward the end of the barrel. There's some minor scratching here and there on the cap and barrel. No chips, dings, or dents. The pen has been restored and it's working well.
The barrel is engraved "L. V. Christian" (see photos).
