Product Name Balance Lifetime. This is a full size pen, but not overly fat like some of the oversized Balances.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1929-31 (the long humped clip is the original clip that was phased out by 1931).
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Lever filler. It has been fully restored with a new sac and is working well. We guarantee the filling system for one year from date of purchase.
Color Dark green marble ("Marine Green") with gold plated trim. There is a white dot above the clip.
Nib FINE two-toned gold Sheaffer Lifetime nib has a serial number: 5530144. It's firm and smooth with good tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition for this beautifully colored, shiny pen with some pearlescence in the dark green marbling. There is some light scratching on the cap and barrel. We see one short (1/16") crack in the cap lip, which doesn't even reach the cap band. We've included closeup shots of these in the photos. The cap band has microscratching and some blotches of brassing. The clip has plating wear along the sides and some splotches of brassing on the ball end. The barrel has some marks from the cap lip near the section. The end of the barrel has moderate scratches from posting, as well as some bite marks. The white dot looks good. The imprints are crisp and clear.
