Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1930-31 (the long humped clip is the original clip that was phased out in 1931 and the color was introduced in 1930).
Length 5-5/8 and quite stout
Filling System Lever filler - we've restored it with a new sac and it's working well.
Color Marine Green with a 1/8" cap band. Marine Green is a green and black marbled pattern. Gold plated trim and white dot. It has a long humped clip, but it doesn't stretch onto the cap band like the earliest Balance clips do.
Nib FINE gold Sheaffer Lifetime nib is in nice condition with appropriate tipping material. It's smooth and firm. The masking is in great condition. The tipping is a little bit on the wider side but the lines it writes are nowhere close to a modern Sheaffer medium.
Condition Excellent condition. There are two main spots of plating wear on the clip, right in the middle of the hump, and on the ball end. The rest of the plating wear is not immediately noticeable. The barrel has some discoloration but the barrel imprint is crisp and pristine. The pen as a whole has minimal handwear. There are no chips, dents, or major scratches. The cap lip has two cracks on it that are hard to see with the naked eye. It's fully restored and working well.
