Filling System The fountain pen is a lever filler. It has been fully restored with a new sac and is working well. Guaranteed for one year from date of purchase. The pencil lead extends via a twist mechanism and takes "thick" or 1.1mm leads. An eraser is stored beneath the cap, though it's very hard.
Color Dark green marble with gold plated trim. Both pieces have long, humped clips. The fountain pen has a white dot above the clip.
Nib FINE gold Sheaffer Lifetime nib has a serial number: 1852383, with a small hairline crack between the 5 and the 2. This crack is stable and will not get worse unless the user really presses hard trying to get some flex, which frankly is not going to happen.
Condition Excellent + condition for this beautifully colored pen and pencil set that is shiny with some pearlescence in the dark green marbling. The fountain pen is a beauty with just some light scratching on the cap and barrel. The cap has a few small, deeper scratches. The lever has some plating wear along the top edge and light microscratching. The cap band and clip are clean and shiny, with just a few small microscratches. The white dot is perfect. The long, tapered mechanical pencil has small scratches here and there. The cone has small microscratches. The cap band has a patch of plating wear along the lower edge. The clip has light plating wear on the ball end and light microscratching. The nib has a small, thin crack between the 5 and 2 of the serial number. The imprints are crisp and clear.
