Filling System Lever filler - we've restored it with a new sac and it's working well. Guaranteed for one year from date of purchase.
Color Black and pearl with a 1/8" cap band. Black pearl is a pattern of black and pearlized marble. Gold plated trim and white dot. It has a long humped clip.
Nib FINE gold Sheaffer Lifetime nib. The nib has a serial number: 1938688. There are tiny cracks in the nib near the shoulders.
Condition Excellent + condition for this vintage pen in a classic color pattern that is large and shiny. Remarkable coloration, hardly any of the ambering we usually see with black and pearl Balances. The cap and barrel have moderate scratching with the heavier marks near the top of the cap and end of the barrel. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip. The top part of the cap has some crackled surface. The lever has plating wear and long thin scratches. The cap band has one patch of plating wear as well as light microscratching. The clip has plating wear on the ball end and along the top edge. There are tiny cracks in the nib near the shoulders. The white dot is slightly yellowed but it looks great.
