Product Name This is in the Balance family, and it's an oversized model and was a mate to the oversized fountain pen.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, they produced this pattern from 1937 to 1942. This is very pointy, with a long humped clip. so it's an early model.
Length 5-7/8" (oversized)
Filling System It takes 1.1mm (or "Thick") leads and extends lead in the traditional twist method. We will include a small container of vintage Sheaffer leads.
Color Black and pearl. Gold plated trim.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks. This is a long tapered mechanical pencil in a great vintage design with a pretty black and pearl cap and barrel. The "pearls" have mellowed to a slightly darker shade than original but the warm color has remained and is very luscious. The cap and barrel have moderate scratching. The top of the cap portion has numerous small marks and scratches. The trim has moderate microscratching. The imprints are clear.
