Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Cadet Tip-Dip
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA - this model ran from about 1952 to '63, but at some point they changed their design to have a section which matched the color of the body. Before that, all sections on these pens were black. This one has a black section, so it's one of the earlier pens.
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System The pen has "Tip-Dip" Touchdown filling system, which is a lot like a standard touchdown system, and we'll include instructions on its use. It has been restored and is working well.
Color Pastel Grey with chrome plated trim.
Nib FINE Sheaffer's F1 steel nib.
Condition Excellent + condition, with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a nice-sized, medium grey, shiny pen in a classic design. The cap and barrel both look excellent with just some light microscratching. The cap band and clip have microscratching, and no visible plating wear or brassing. The section and cap threads have some small marks in the grooves. The imprint on the clip is clear.
