Product Name Connaisseur. This was the first version of the Connaisseur, identified by the "Sheaffer" on the clip and the lack of engraving on the cap band.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA - this version was made from 1986 to '88.
Length 5-1/2" capped.
Filling System It takes Sheaffer style cartridges or converters. This version of the Connaisseur can only take the shorter squeeze converter, the longer piston converter will not fit. A working converter is included.
Color Black cap and barrel with gold plated trim.
Nib MEDIUM 18k 750 solid gold Sheaffer's nib marked M on the section. It's very smooth with great tipping material. Semi-flexible with minor line variation.
Condition Excellent condition with a few light marks and scratches on the cap and barrel. There's just a tiny bit of microscratching on the trim, no real plating wear. It's working very well
