Type Vintage Sheaffer Mechanical Pencil
Product Name #250, most likely a mate to an Admiral fountain pen
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA - 1940s
Filling System It takes .9mm (or "Thin") leads and extends lead in the traditional twist method.
Color Carmine striated with gold trim
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks or chips. This is a junior-sized mechanical pencil in a great color pattern. The body shines even though there are some small, deep marks (to the left of the top of the clip and on the side opposite the clip, near the cone and on the cone). There appears to have been a personalization on the barrel that has been largely sanded off. Some letters can still be made out. The cap band looks nice. The clip has some small dots of pitting around the flat end. The imprints are clear.
