Length 5-7/16" .... full length and slender
Filling System Lever filler - working perfectly with a good sac, just replaced here at Peyton Street Pens.
Color Black chased hard rubber. Gold-filled trim, including a 1/2" wide cap band.
Nib FINE Sheaffer's #2 Self-Filling gold nib is in excellent condition. There is some flexibility to it, and we've included a writing sample in the photos. Extra fine to medium line variation. The feed has some scratching and tool marks on it, but they don't affect the pen's function. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. There is microscratching and handwear on the cap and barrel. The chasing pattern is very clear, and the color is excellent with minimal fading - it's very dark and even. The lever has brassing at either end, and some plating wear along the sides. The clip has brassing around the upper edge, and splotches of brassing on the ball end. The imprints are slightly worn, but still easily readable and clear.
The wide cap band is personalized with initials, which we believe are "P J S" - the middle one is a little confusing to modern eyes, but the top of the cap has the letters "P J S" crudely scratched into it, so we're taking that as confirmation.
