Product Description
Type Vintage Sheaffer ring top fountain pen in excellent working condition with a hand engraved floral design.
Product Name Unknown, but it strongly resembles a pen found on pg 20 of a 1923 Sheaffer catalog. That one is designated as model 36HEM.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA -- 1920s. It's probably from 1922 - 1927, because we believe that the company's logo changed in 1922 to incorporate the joined R and S at the end of "Sheaffer's", and then changed to something else around 1927.
Length 3-3/4" without the ring top hardware
Filling System Lever filler - working perfectly with a new sac.
Color "Full Mounted" in Sheaffer's description, which means a gold-filled full overlay on black hard rubber. The overlay has a floral hand engraved pattern. The section is black, and is slightly faded.
Nib Fine Flexible 14k Sheaffer #2 Self Filling nib. It's quite soft and flexes easily. There's a short crack off the left side of the heart-shaped breather hole. See our writing sample in the photos.
