Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Unknown, it's a flat top with a flat ball humped style clip.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA. Mid to late 1930s, at the end of the flat top product line life.
Length 4-1/2"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black body and cap with gold plated trim.
Nib EXTRA FINE Sheaffer's #3 gold nib is smooth with great tipping material. It's semi-flexible with line variation from extra fine to a medium with a little pressure. (See writing sample below.)
Condition Very nice condition except for a crack on the cap lip (see photos). The crack stops short at the cap band so it shouldn't be a problem, though we advise against posting the cap. Otherwise the pen shows some scratching and wear on the cap and barrel and some brassing on the sides of the clip ball and the upper clip, as well as the very edges of the lever. No chips, dings, dents or personalization. The imprint is very readable and the pen is fully restored and working well.
