Filling System Fountain pen is cartridge/converter filler, and a working squeeze converter is included. Ballpoint takes a Sheaffer "K" refill, and the tip extends and retracts by twisting the top half of the pen. A working refill is installed.
Color Solid sterling silver body and cap in a lined design with gold plated trim and a white dot. The cap band has a thin black center band. The fountain pen has a black section.
Nib FINE 18k 1920 Nib (two-toned). The Grand Connaisseur's nibs were larger than the regular Connaisseur.
Condition Excellent condition, in box with paperwork. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is an over-sized, elegant fountain and ballpoint pen set that is shiny and shimmery. The fountain pen cap and barrel have moderate microscratching in the soft sterling surfaces. The cap band, clip, and two shiny and rounded end pieces have light microscratching and polishing marks. There is some tarnish around the white dot and the top of the clip, as well as in the grooves of the lined surface. The trim ring nearest the nib has blotches of plating wear. The ballpoint pen has moderate microscratching as well as tarnishing between some of the grooves. The cap band, clip, cone, and top rounded shiny piece have light microscratching. The white dots on both pieces are excellent. The imprints on both pieces are clear. Ships in original box with outer cardboard box, paperwork, and a box of Sheaffer cartridges.
