Product Name Sheaffer Grand Connaisseur, Model 820, this model was initially made in the UK but was later produced in the UK and the USA.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA -- 1988-91, this model was produced until 1996 but this has the larger 1920 nib which was discontinued in 1961.
Length 5-5/8"
Filling System Takes Sheaffer-style cartridges and converters. A Sheaffer piston converter is installed.
Color Black lacquer over brass with 23k electroplated trim. It has the white dot above the clip and a ball ended clip.
Nib Medium 18k Nib. This is the correct Grande nib with a 1920 imprint and some palladium masking. Lots of tipping material and it looks great.
Condition Excellent + condition. The barrel has some cap marks near the section and some handwear and polishing marks throughout. The barrel has one scratch and the cap has several. None of them are immediately obvious or deep. No bite marks, or dents. The imprints look great. There's some plating wear on the nib collar trim, but that's very common and almost to be expected.
