Type Vintage touchdown filling fountain pen.
Product Name Target (which later changed to the Imperial III), this is the touchdown version with a a two-toned gold triumph nib.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA – circa early 1960s.

Filling System Touchdown filling system. It's fully restored and working perfectly.
Color Black body and cap with gold plated trim. It has a 1/4" band.
Nib EXTRA-FINE two-toned PdAg (palladium-silver) nib. The gold color is masking. You'll see these Imperial IIIs with both single-tone and two-tone palladium silver nibs. There's a slight "waverly" upturn.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks for this shiny pen in classic black. The section has some lengthwise scratch marks caused by the cap. The barrel has light to moderate scratching with a few long, thin marks. There are some tiny little chips in the edges of the blind cap and barrel where they meet. The cap has light scratching and microscratching. The cap band has microscratching and touches of brassing along the edges. The clip has light scratching. The imprints are clear.
