Product Description
Type Ballpoint Pen
Product Name Imperial Triumph. There were a few different versions made primarily identified by whether or not the cap band said, "Sheaffer" or "Sheaffer's" as well as other parts of the imprint. In this case, it's a Sheaffer Imperial Triumph, made in Brazil. (The FLH mark on the band is Portuguese "folheado" and means "plated")
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, Brazil -- 1970s.
Length 5-1/8" long.
Filling System Takes Sheaffer-style ballpoint refills. A working black refill is installed. The tip extends and retracts via the "reminder clip" - when the clip is depressed and the clip is out, the clip is "reminding" you that the tip is out and you can't accidentally clip it into your pocket.
Color 23k Gold plated in grouped sets of six fine lines. There's a blank cartouche on the cap.
Condition Excellent condition. Light microscratching and polishing marks. There are some tiny scattered dots of patina, but no real brassing, pitting or plating wear anywhere. There's a tiny mark in the cartouche. The lined pattern is well-defined. The imprints are clear.
