Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Imperial Triumph. There were two versions made primarily identified by whether or not the cap band said, "Sheaffer" or "Sheaffer's." In this case, the cap band says "Sheaffer's".
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1960s.
Length 5-3/8" long.
Filling System Touchdown filler that has been restored with a new sac and o-ring.
Color Gold filled in grouped sets of eight fine lines. There's a blank cartouche on the barrel designed so the pen can be engraved. The section is black.
Nib FINE 14k diamond-inlay nib. It is unmarked but seems like a fine to us.
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks. This is an elegant, shiny pen in a classic design. There is a dent near the top of the cap, to the left of the clip. The top edge of the cap also has shallow denting and some brassing. The clip has scratches on the face, and it wiggles a bit side-to-side so use the clip with caution. The section has scratching from the cap, as well as some heavy scratches in the diamond cutout of the nib. The cap and barrel have light to moderate scratching, and there are little dots of pitting in the grooved lines. There is also a blemish on the barrel that we've highlighted in the photos. The blind cap has scratches and brassing, and there is denting and plating wear around the end edge. The imprints are clear.
