Type Modern cartridge/converter filling fountain pen based on early 20th century designs.
Product Name Nostalgia.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, England/USA. Early 1990s. The cap band is stamped England and has some British silver hallmarks. The nib is marked "Made in USA".
Length 5-1/4 inches.
Filling System It takes Sheaffer style cartridges or a squeeze converter. A squeeze converter is installed, and we will include a spare. (The modern piston converters do not work.)
Color Sterling silver-etched floral pattern cut-out overlay. Marked Sterling 925 with a hallmark.
Nib FINE Sheaffer's 18k gold nib made in USA is smooth and bouncy with nice tipping material. It's not marked, but we judge it to be a fine. We usually see the sterling filigree Nostalgias with two tone nibs, and the silver colored masking is absent on this nib.
Condition Excellent + condition. The surface of the overlay has light scratching and polishing marks, but is overall smooth and shiny and looks fantastic. No dents, dings, cracks, or chips. The section has microscratching, and the barrel has light marks from the cap. No personalization. There are some hints of tarnish scattered throughout.
