Product Name PFM V -- Pen For Men. Model five is distinguished by the gold cap and gold end of the blind cap.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, cap was made in Australia, but the nib is marked USA. No barrel imprint. This model was produced from 1959 to circa 1968.
Length 5-5/16 inches.
Filling System Snorkel filler. We've fully restored it with a new sac, o-ring, and point gasket, and it's working very well. We'll include instructions on the use of this filling system. Guaranteed for one year from date of purchase.
Color Burgundy barrel with a gold filled cap and a small gold filled end plate on the blind cap. Normally there would be a white dot in the recessed hole at the top of the cap.
Nib FINE Sheaffer's 14k gold long diamond inlaid nib.
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is an impressive, beautiful, shiny pen, in a classy color scheme. The section and barrel have moderate to some heavy scratching. The section has a number of long scratches. The barrel has heavier scratching near the end that includes long scratches. The facets of the blind cap have moderate scratching. The gold end piece has light microscratching. The cap has moderate microscratching, plating wear along the faceted top of the cap and wear and scratching along the edges and on the very top portion of the cap. The clip is loose with moderate microscratching. The white dot is missing, leaving behind a recessed hole. The imprints are clear.
