Product Name Sheaffer-Royal Doulton Desk Set.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA/England -- circa 1980s. (The desk base was made in England. The section of the pen is stamped USA.)
Length The base measures 8" by 4-7/8" long. The pen is 6-7/8" long.
Filling System The pen takes standard Sheaffer cartridges, and Sheaffer squeeze converter is installed.
Color The pen is a tandard Sheaffer desk pen with an inlaid nib and black section. The barrel and tail are an ivory colored resin that coordinates nicely with the base. The base is ceramic in an off-white color, decorated in blue and gold with small flourishes.
Nib MEDIUM 14k inlaid nib. The 14k nib has lots of tipping material.
Condition Near Mint in box, with paperwork. The ceramic base looks fantastic, and the painted designs are perfect. The base label and felt pads are all perfect. The fountain pen has very light scratching on the section, likely from removing and replacing with protective cardboard sheath. The box has some slight warping and doesn't quite close flush, but still looks quite nice with no tearing or water damage.
