Product Name Sentinel Snorkel Set
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in U.S.A. -- 1952-59.
Length Pen is 5-9/16", pencil is just over 5".
Filling System The fountain pen is a snorkel filler, which is working very well after we restored it with a new sac, O-ring, and point gasket. The pencil take 0.9mm leads which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism. It's working well, and we'll include a small pack of leads.
Color Buckskin bodies (a pinkish rose tan color) with chrome plated caps and gold plated trim. Buckskin is considered one of the harder-to-find colors.
Nib FINE 14k gold Sheaffer's Triumph style nib is smooth and firm with nice tipping material. The nib has a slight "Waverly" upturn.
Condition Superior condition for this beautiful set in a lovely color that comes in the original Sheaffer's Snorkel box. The fountain pen has very light wear on the barrel -- difficult to see because of the color of the pen. The cap and trim are gorgeous. The mechanical pencil is excellent all-around. It still has the $7.50 chalk mark on the barrel. No cracks, chips, dings, or dents. The imprints are clear.
