Type Vintage Touchdown fountain pen
Product Name Sheaffer Sovereign. It's a little tricky, usually we'd note that the Sovereign is a non-white dot model, but this one has a White Dot cap. Of course, the caps on these Touchdown models are interchangeable, and it's certainly possible that it got switched around with a Valiant cap at some point in the 70-some years since it was made.

Filling System Touchdown filler. We've replaced the sac and the O-ring. It's fully restored and working very well.
Color Burgundy cap and barrel with a 3/8" wide cap band and a nearly clear viewing window. The trim is gold plated.
Nib MEDIUM 14k nib is two-toned.
Condition Excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a shiny pen in a great color and with a classic design and nice hand-size. The barrel has some lengthwise scratches, especially in the imprint. There are a couple of dent-like marks near the end of the barrel. The metal trim ring and barrel threads (between the barrel and section) have a lot of plating wear. The cap has some tiny bite marks near the top, not very noticeable. The cap band and clip both have microscratching, but no brassing or plating wear. The imprints are somewhat smoothed down, but clear.
