Product Name Sheaffer Statesman.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA -- 1949-50. The touchdown filling system was introduced in 1949 and the models were slenderized in 1950, this is the fat version that only was produced for a little over a year.

Filling System Touchdown filler. We've replaced the sac and the O-ring. It's fully restored and working very well. Guaranteed for a year from the date of purchase.
Color Solid Persian blue cap and barrel with a 1/4" cap band. The trim is gold plated. Ridged black section.
Nib FINE 14k open nib is two-toned. It has serial number C69508
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a classic, vintage pen in a dark blue color with shiny gold trim. The section is excellent, dark black, and no scratches. The barrel has moderate wear near the end with some long scratch marks. The cap has surface wear just above the cap band. It has a few deeper scratch near the top, and a scuff to the left of the top of the clip. The cap band light scratching with a number of scratches going from edge to edge. The clip has moderate scratching. The white dot is somewhat yellowed. The imprints are clear.
