Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer created the Vacuum-Fil sub-brand in the late 1930s. They tried out their new vacuum filling system on this model before offering it on the Balance pens.

Color The barrel top and end are green marble, with a clear brown central portion. The cap is green marble. Gold plated trim.
Condition Excellent condition for this uniquely designed fountain pen with a very pretty color pattern. The top of the cap has some internal crystalization, which doesn't seem to reach the surface. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip as well as some marks towards the blind cap. The clear portion of the barrel has darkened from amber to a medium brown, with some internal staining. The cap band has light scratching, and some brassing along the upper and lower edges. The clip has brassing and plating wear around the edges. The imprint is crisp and clear.
