Filling System Takes Sheaffer style cartridges and converters. A Sheaffer piston converter is installed.
Color "Filigree Classic" is a golden brown and black swirled lacquer. It has 23k electroplated trim.
Nib FINE 14k diamond shaped inlaid nib.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a very shiny pen in a color pattern that is similar to an animal print. The gold piece at the top of the cap end has microscratching. The clip has moderate scratching. The surface of the cap has light scratching. The barrel has some small dings in the surface. The gold piece at the end of the barrel has some plating wear, especially around the edge. The black piece at the end of the barrel has scratches. The section has lots of scratches from capping. The white dot looks great. The imprints are clear.
The cap is personalized with the RAC logo (the British Royal Automobile Club) and "15 years". We had a bit of difficulty getting a converter to fit, but were able to drill out some excess material inside and it now fits very nicely. (In our experience, it's unusual to see a fountain pen as a giveaway, so it's possible that it was originally a rollerball, and the fountain pen section was added later. The trouble we had in getting a converter to fit may be related to that. In any case, it fits now, and works well.)
