Filling System Snorkel filler. We've restored it with a new sac, point gasket, and O-ring and tested the pen thoroughly. It's working very well and we'll send instructions on how to use the snorkel filling system. The mechanical pencil takes 0.9mm leads.
Color Both the pen and pencil have burgundy cap and body, and 3/8" wide 14k solid gold bands, and gold-plated clips.
Nib MEDIUM Sheaffer's 14k triumph nib with palladium masking, marked M5 on the reverse. The two-tone nib has a slight upturn at the tip.
Condition Excellent condition, in vintage Sheaffer box. There is light scratching and handwear on both pieces. The fountain pen has some brassing on the sides of the clip. The cap band has some small scratches near the lip, below the very end of the name. The masking on the nib is intact, and looks really good. The ribbed pattern on the section is quite clear, and there's only a small touch of plating wear on the cap threads. The pattern on the blind clip has some very small and faint tooth marks. The pencil has some brassing on the sides of the clip. There is some microscratching on the trim, but no plating wear is visible. Both pieces are personalized for Arthur W. Kohls on the band. The imprints on both pieces are clear. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The box is in excellent condition, with just a few scattered marks and some slight tears in the outer layer.
