Product Name Sheaffer TM Signature, this is a 14k cap band version of the Sheaffer TM Valiant Touchdown.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1950-52.
Length 5-5/16 inches.
Filling System Touchdown filling system. It has been fully restored and tested. We will send instructions on using the Touchdown filling system.
Color Evergreen cap and body with a 3/8" wide cap band and gold trim. The clip is plated and the band is solid 14k gold.
Nib FINE 14k Sheaffer Triumph nib. The masking is in good condition, with the exception of a tiny little mark on one of the tines near the tip. This does not affect the pen's writing performance. The nib writes smoothly.
Condition Excellent condition. There is light scratching on the cap and barrel. The section threads have some light plating wear. The ridges on the section look good. The blind cap looks great, with no bite marks. The cap has microscratching and a couple of small surface marks. The clip has some plating wear along the sides. The white dot looks good. The cap band is personalized with the signature of John J. Gary (or Cary?) and the years 1902 and 1952. No denting on the band. The imprint is easily read.
