Type Vintage Vac Fil fountain pen.
Product Name Lifetime Valiant 1250 (the number is marked on the barrel). The is a very stout pen, we measure the gripping area at 10.7mm.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA - circa mid 1940s.
Length Just over 5-1/4".
Filling System Vac Fil. We've replaced the piston and seals and it's working well.
Color Brown striated with gold plated trim, a white dot, and a very wide cap band which is just over 9/16", about the size of a signature band, with grooves in it.
Nib MEDIUM two-tone conical 14k Lifetime Triumph nib is firm and smooth with nice tipping material. It would probably be considered fine by today's standards.
Condition Superior condition, near mint. There are only micro-scratches on the cap and barrel. No cracks, dings, dents, brassing or real plating wear, or personalization. It's fully restored and working well.
